Roo Siththam 2014 Annual All Island Art Competition
AVAILABLE TO DOWNLOAD | ALL RIGHTS RESERVED | FASHION BUG CREATIVE TEAM The awards ceremony and prize distribution of "Roo Siththam", an all-island, annual, Childrens art competition organized by Fashion Bug was held at the Bishops College Auditorium recently in commemoration of world children’s day. This year the competition yielded over 45,000 entries from all over the island representing over 220 schools and has been held every year. Over 450 students belonging to three age categories, namely 6-9 , 10-13 and 14-16 were recognized for their achievements at the Award Ceremony, which is one of the most sought after events among the little art enthusiasts of Sri Lanka. More than 450 students were awarded medals, certificates and gift packs, while the All Island Winners from each category were presented a gift pack worth Rs 25,000 each, which comprises a cash prize, mountain bike, Gift vouchers and many more. This year the Chief Guests were Major General Mahinda Hathurusinghe, and popular filmstar Yashoda Wimaladharma, while Guest of Honour was Musician Rohana Weerasinghe.
